July Update

Summer is arriving

The transition from spring to summer vegetables has begun! Thanks to a very cool spring, we’re running about two weeks behind, but the crops are looking great. The recent warm and humid weather has really helped move things along. We may not love the heat and humidity, but the warm-weather crops certainly do!
Green beans were the first to arrive, followed by zucchini. Up next: sweet corn, green peppers, and onions, which should be ready in about a week. Be sure to watch for updates on social media—we're expecting to open the Ripon corn stand on July 26th.
We know many of you are eagerly awaiting tomatoes and cantaloupe—and we don’t blame you! The good news: they’re looking fantastic. The not-so-good news: they likely won’t be ready for another month. Since we grow everything outdoors and are still about two weeks behind, we need a bit more warm, humid weather to help them ripen.
