Established in the summer of 1992, Green Barn Farm Market started with 10 acres of fresh produce and has grown to over 100 acres today. The owners, Tom and Heather Bandt, graduated from UW-Madison in 1991 with degrees in agriculture and were married in 1992. In addition to producing fresh produce, they also farm 900 acres of field corn, soybeans, and winter wheat, while also raising Black Angus beef cattle. Their success is based on a simple business principle: selling quality produce and beef at a fair price. Today, Green Barn Farm Market sells its produce and beef at local farmer's markets and wholesales produce to large grocery stores. Their season begins in early May and ends the first week of November. For more information about their farm and operations, please refer to the above menus. Remember, Green Barn Farm Market only sells produce they grow and harvest on their own farm. |
