Rain Has ArrivedNow that we had a much needed rain, things at the farm are looking better. Asparagus season is rapidly coming to a close but the greens (spinach, spring mix and arugula) are really beautiful and will be available for at least a couple more weeks. Next up: sugar snap peas and broccoli.
We are done selling asparagus at the farm location and will return to our location in the city of Ripon (corner of Oshkosh and Stanton Street) near the end of July. There we will have sweet corn and all the other farm fresh vegetables that you love. Another exciting update is that we are planting strawberries this month with high hopes that we will be able to offer them for sale next June. It takes a bit of luck and a bunch of skill to get them to market so we will keep our fingers crossed and work hard! We sell black angus beef at our Ripon location and the farm markets in Madison and Green Bay. Don’t worry farmer Tom will be back in Green Bay before the end of this month! Keep hoping for regular rains. It is so difficult on all of the farmers when it doesn’t rain consistently, or at all. Knowing where your food comes from is such a wonderful thing.
