Rainy May into JuneSomeone turn off the water! Isn't it crazy how last season we would have given anything for this rain, and now this season it is simply too much? Welcome to farming! We are thankful that, despite the rain, things on the farm are looking really good.
Asparagus, spinach, spring mix, and arugula will continue through the end of June. We have our very first strawberries for sale at the farm today. There will be a very limited supply of the berries for about two more weeks, after which we should have a larger supply. The farm store will be open until the end of June. Sugar snap peas, English peas (in the pod), and broccoli will be the next crops to come into season. Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook, where we regularly update what is being harvested. Our beef sales are strong, and we are so glad to receive positive reviews. The freezers will be full again on June 21st. Our ground beef is 85/15 and only $4.79/lb, and we have plenty in supply—not to mention it tastes great! If Mother Nature continues to be reasonable, we should have a great season of keeping you fed and full of nutritious, delicious food.
